Connor Barrett is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Walsall F.C. in League Two.
Born on 1 March 2002 in Leicester, England, Barrett is a modern attacking full-back known for his energy, pace, and ability to contribute both defensively and going forward. He primarily plays on the right side of defence but can also operate as a right midfielder or centre-back when needed.
He began his youth career with Leicester City before moving to Burnley, where he was released in 2021. Barrett then stepped into senior football with Kettering Town, impressing enough to win the club’s Vice President’s Player of the Year award in his debut season.
His performances earned him a move to AFC Fylde in 2022, where he played a key role in their promotion-winning campaign in the National League North. After two strong seasons there, he signed for Walsall in 2024.
At Walsall, Barrett quickly established himself as a regular starter, making over 50 appearances in his first season and earning a place in the EFL League Two Team of the Season (2024–25). He has continued to develop, contributing goals and consistent performances from right-back.
